Practicing Veterinarians’ Awareness of Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS)

Purpose of the Study:

Gather information via electronic survey on the perceptions and awareness of MIS among practicing veterinarians across Canada (including small, large, and mixed practice veterinarians). Responses to this 10 minute survey will be used to make more accessible, information on MIS. Additionally, results will be used to identify general referral patterns, as well as common barriers to the use of MIS in general practice.  

Participation:

  • Participation is completely voluntary
  • Participants must be 18 years or older
  • Participants must be licensed and actively practicing veterinary medicine at a clinic in Canada

Procedures:

  • Use this link to access the electronic survey: http://tiny.cc/vetsurvey
  • Agree to the consent form
  • Answer questions to the best of your ability with your current knowledge
  • You may close the survey at any time and return at any time to pick up where you left off
  • You may withdraw at any time without consequences of any kind, however, once you hit the submit button your answers cannot be removed or retrieved
  • Refrain from guiding, coaching, or discussing questions or options with practitioners who have not yet completed their own survey

Benefits to Society:

Society benefits if we identify areas of education and outreach can be developed to further advance veterinary medicine with the use of MIS.

Responses to this survey will remain completely anonymous
